This ends the story, although there may be a little Epilogue after Yule, if we can find the time to write it!
Little Birds is over a hundred pages long, novella-length and written in a month - not bad for what started as a short story and Lutra's first foray into writing in a genre she loathes. (Maybe that should be loathed?)

Happy now, smarty-pants? Not only did I not snigger when the elves started dying in TTT, (thanks again, Thorne!) I actually came over all sniffly when Haldir got skewered. <grumble> In future if I want to maintain my disdain over something I'll have to a: avoid inspiring any [pings] and b: not read the resulting fics!
<shaking fist> Curse your exceptional writing and your ability to make me empathise with things/people I don't like! <bg>
(But seriously, Little Birds was fun! And I suppose it's good I can be flexible in my thinking... : )
